Plowing Playday Sunday at Jack London State Park
If you’re interested in farming with draft animals, you might enjoy the 27th annual Plowing Playday this Sunday at Jack London State Park. From the Press Democrat article, Big day for draft horses:
Plowing Playday will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Along with the horses, it will feature blacksmith and sheepdog demonstrations, plus displays of early day gas engines and tractors. The event is free but visitors must pay $6 per car for entrance to the state park.
Here’s a video from the Press Democrat featuring Stuart Schroeder and Bonnie and Betsey of Stone Horse Farm:

I am trying to ascertain if there are horse loggers available.
The terrain is suitable and we have adjacent large fenced pasture areas.
Best,
Tom
