Permaculture Principles is a website companion to David Holmgren’s book, Permaculture: Principles and Pathways Beyond Sustainability.

You can also download a free PDF, Essence of Permaculture. This 16-page booklet is almost an executive summary of “what is permaculture.” You might use in a situation where you’re trying to gain credibility among folks who are totally unfamiliar with the concept.

Permies, don’t miss the links at the bottom of the home page, in the right column, regarding a permaculture icon. You can vote some ideas there. I really like the idea of an icon we could all use. Maybe it would help to have something like that to end my thrashing about a logo for this site!
